Organista

 

​Born 1963 in Valencia he began his piano, cembalo and organ studies at the ​Conservatory in his native city, completing his master's degree at the Conservatory of Barcelona. ​Under the direction of Montserrat Torrent he improved his organ technique realizing his ​postgraduate studies at the department of musicology of the Consejo Superior de ​Investigaciones Científicas (C.S.I.C.)  (Higher Council for Scientific Research) in Barcelona.


Awards:​

1988 -  Distinguished at the National Youth Competition of music in Gerona.
​1990 - Andrés Segovia and Ruiz de Morales Award of Spanish music interpretation​ in Santiago de Compostela.

​2011 -  First prize for organ composition Cristóbal Halffter, granted by the Instituto ​de Estudios Bercianos. 
 

 

Related Courses:

From 1990 to 1998 he attended different specialized courses under professors M. ​Guyard and Jean Boyer (French music), Hubert Meister and Michael Radulescu (J.S. Bach extensively), Montserrat Torrent and Guy Bovet (Iberian music) and Zsigmond ​Szatmáry ​(contemporary music).

 


Concerts: ​

He participated in numerous international cycles and festivals in Spain, Switzerland, Italy, ​France, Germany, Austria, Portugal, Canada and the USA as a soloist and accompanist of various ​vocal or instrumental groups (Spanish Brass Luur Metalls, Quinteto Mediterráneo, Trío ​Xácara, O.M. de Valencia, Cor Nacional de Petits Cantors d'Andorra - as titular organist  ​1993-2007-,  Orquesta Nacional de Cámara de Andorra, Concert de les Arts, ...).​

Of special importance are concerts as a soloist performed at important cathedrals and ​organ ​centers in Paris (Notre Dame Cathedral, Saint Eustache Church, Saint ​Antoine de Quinze Vingts), Versalles, Lisbon, Bruges, Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, ​Seville, Cologne, Bonn, Viena, Turin, Rome and Montevideo.


 

Teaching: ​

Carrying out his pedagogical activity in the Principality of Andorra, has been Invited by various entities conducted courses and masterclasses on the Hispanic music ​of the 16th to 21st century to which he dedicates special attention.
​From 2003 to 2008  he was the Director of the International course of contemporary ​organ music, ​which has been held in Andorra by various specialists in contemporary music ​for organ.

​He has carried out many educational activities about the organ.
 

 

Organizational tasks:​

Since 1999 has been Artistic Director of the International Festival of organ in the ​Principality of Andorra. Since 2018, he is Artistic Director of the Jornades d'orgue ibèric (la Massana).

 


Ownership:​
Is currently Organist of the Church of Sant Esteve in Andorra la Vella in the Principality ​of Andorra.
